GROVEDALE’S Daniel Fraser will coach his last game for the Tigers this weekend, informing the club he won’t be returning in 2024.

The Tigers host St. Albans for the final round of the GFNL home and away season on Saturday, in what will be Fraser’s final game after taking the reigns in 2020.

Grovedale has struggled to get going this season, sliding to 9th spot on the ladder and managing just the three wins so far after eight victories in 2022.

“Fraz has been a terrific club person since arriving at the club as the senior assistant coach in 2019,” the Tigers said in a statement.

“He quickly won over the playing group and was promoted to senior coach in 2020.

“He has put in countless hours of work and developed a large number of our young players during his four year tenure.

“He undoubtedly leaves the senior group in a much stronger position than it was when he arrived.

“The club sincerely thanks Fraz for his commitment, dedication and professionalism and we wish him and his family all the very best for the future.”
