Long-serving Geelong West coach Greg Mellor hasn’t ruled out extending his tenure into an eighth year in 2025.

Mellor, who took the reins at West Oval before the 2018 season, will become just the second person after Darrell Fenton to take charge of 100 games during the club’s GFNL era in Round 17.

“I’m keen to be here. But, I’m also cognizant of the fact that I’ve been here for a while,” he told krockfootball.live.

“I just want what’s best for the football club and whatever role that looks like.

“I’ll still be around, whether I’m coaching, co-coaching, or not at all.

“To be honest, I’m expecting to be here.”
