NIGHT football will be played at Colac’s Central Reserve for the first time at GFL level in 2021.
AFL Barwon has confirmed the Round 1 clash between the Tigers and St Joseph’s will bounce at 6:10pm.
The sunset on April 17 in Colac is at 5:55pm.
“Game times across all grades between the Tigers and Joeys have altered so the Senior Football and A-Grade netball can be played at twilight,” AFL Barwon said in a statement. “All changes have been agreed to by the competing clubs.
Whilst this change has come outside the fixture change period, AFL Barwon will always support clubs, where possible, trying to maximise revenue opportunities after a difficult 2020.”
Colac opens its season a week prior with a trip to St Albans, while it will be the season-opener for St Joseph’s.
