St Joseph’s ruckman Oli Northam will join SANFL club South Adelaide for a month-long stint.
Werribee-listed Northam will play four matches with the Panthers after the VFL club agreed to release the 197cm 19-year-old across the border.
He will debut against Sturt on Sunday and play South Adelaide’s following three matches.
“Oli is a competitive young ruckman we’ve had our eye on for the last two seasons,” South Adelaide football boss Brent Reill said.
“With Ollie Megins out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury, we reached out to Oli [Northam], and he agreed to play four games for us leading into the bye.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Oli to the South family, along with his parents, Jon and Natalie, who are joining us from Geelong.”
With St Joseph’s enjoying this weekend off, Northam will miss three home-and-away games against St Albans, North Shore and South Barwon.
The 2022 Vic Country representative is averaging 17.9 disposals (12.9 contested), 35.1 hitouts (6.9 to advantage), 7.5 clearances, 4.5 tackles and 2.8 marks from ten games for Joeys.
His 75 clearances are fourth overall in the GFNL, 351 hitouts sit sixth, and 129 contested possessions are equal-eighth.
