NORTH Shore’s reunion its 1980, 1990 and 2000 premiership teams on Saturday will take on extra meaning.
The gathering will be the first for Gordon Hynes, who was captain-coach of the Seagulls’ 1980 success, and 2000m mentor Glenn Keast since overcoming recent health battles.
Hynes has been cleared of cancer following a two-year battle, while Keast suffered a cardiac arrest in late May last year while at a training session with GFL club St Mary’s.

Hynes, who also led North Shore to senior flags in 1974, 1976, 1977, 1981 and 1983, and Keast, who completed a hat-trick of coaching successes in 2000, were joined by 1990 premiership coach John Albon for a special podcast.
