VFL-listed Geelong West star Tanner Lewis has accepted a two-week suspension for an incident from the Giants’ loss to South Barwon.

Lewis, who has made four appearances for Geelong this year, was cited for a dangerous tackle on Swans ruck Ben Kellett by AFL Barwon’s Match Review Panel.

The final-quarter incident at West Oval was graded as careless conduct, high impact and high contact, drawing a three-match sanction.

With an early guilty plea, Lewis will miss meetings with Leopold and Grovedale before being free to return for the Round 14 meeting with St Mary’s.

The news was better for teammate Tylar Watts, who was looked at for striking South midfielder Paddy Kelly during the first term.

No charge was laid due to inconclusive vision.

Lack of vision also meant St Joseph’s ruck Oli Northam escaped sanction for an alleged strike on Colac’s Aaron Walters during the third quarter of Joeys’ win at Central Reserve.

In the GDFNL, inconclusive vision meant Werribee Centrals’ Henry Egan and North Geelong’s Sam Reynolds had no case to answer.

Egan was referred to the MRP for allegedly pushing Corio’s Aaron Taylor into the Galvin Park fence during the third quarter of the Centurions’ win over the Devils.

Reynolds was scrutinised for alleged high contact on Geelong West’s Tom Burke during the third quarter of the Magpies’ win at Keith Barclay Oval.
