CAPTAIN Jhye Clark, talented defender Oscar Murdoch and promising big man Joe Pike will make timely returns to the Geelong Falcons team for Saturday’s NAB League Boys Wildcard meeting with the Western Jets.
The trio all missed last week’s final-round loss to the GWV Rebels, with Clark, touted to go top-five in this year’s AFL National Draft, battling a minor knee issue.
They replace injured forward Tadgh Evans (shoulder) and bottom-agers Ethan Borys and Mal White, who coach Paul Corrigan dubbed “unlucky” to be squeezed out.
Outside Vic Country defender Will Parkhouse (shoulder) and key forward Tom Gillett (foot), Corrigan had a complete list to pick from.
The clash at Ballarat’s Mars Stadium will be the second meeting between the fifth-placed Falcons and 12th-placed Jets, with the latter claiming victory by two points at Werribee on July 29.
