JACK Silvagni’s horror run with injuries has continued with the Carlton forward undergoing knee surgery that will sideline him for up to six weeks.
The 22-year-old has played just three games this AFL season, suffering a bruised lung and fractured rib before his current knee injury.
The club announced on Saturday he would have surgery in Perth on Monday, described as a “small ITB (Iliotibial Band) release procedure”.

Blues head of football Brad Lloyd said the operation would help Silvagni recover from a knee injury.
“This is a standard procedure that we’re confident will aid Jack’s recovery and we expect him to miss between 4-6 weeks,” Lloyd said.
Carlton next plays West Coast on Sunday afternoon at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
