Geelong has taken a conservative approach with captain Patrick Dangerfield, leaving him out of the squad for Sunday’s clash with ladder leader Sydney at the SCG.
Dangerfield has been sidelined since suffering the recurrence of a hamstring injury in the win over Carlton in Round 7.
With the Cats having the bye next week, he should return for the returning meeting with the Blues on June 21.
Geelong has made one change to the team that overcame a 29-point deficit to beat Richmond by 30 points.
Livewire forward Ollie Henry will be sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The Cats will welcome back Mark Blicavs from suspension.
Jhye Clark, who was also suspended following an incident in the loss to the GWS Giants, veteran ruck Rhys Stanley and first-year forward Shaun Mannagh have been named on an extended bench.
Sydney have named star defender Tom McCartin, while ruck Pete Ladhams and the uncapped Caiden Cleary are also a chance to take on the Cats.
K rock Football is live from the SCG from 2pm via FM 95.5 across Geelong & the Surf Coast or krockfootball.live
