GEELONG’S bid for a first VFLW premiership will step up a notch on Saturday when it travels to Olympic Park Oval for a qualifying final match-up with Collingwood.

Despite being held goalless in a 19-point loss to the minor premier at Victoria Park, the Cats finished second behind the unbeaten Magpies.

Collingwood won both match-ups with Geelong in the home-and-away season, with the Magpies claiming a two-point victory at Deakin Uni in Round 1.

The winner of the qualifying final advances to the second semi-final and will have two chances to book a grand final berth.

The loser would need to win two cut-throat finals to reach the decider.

The Cats have made four changes, with AFL-listed duo Rene Caris and Rebecca Webster returning along with Annabel Johnson and Jamie Woollett.

They replace Sarah Elsworthy, Carly Remmos, Mia Skinner and Sachi DeGiacomi.
