Geelong will host Melbourne in a Friday night fixture at GMHBA Stadium in Round 4 of the 2025 AFL season.
K rock Football can also reveal Richmond will return to be one of the Cats’ ten opponents at their traditional home after making its first trip down the Princes Highway since 2017 this year.
Next year’s meeting with the Demons will be the eighth time the 2021 premier has been to Geelong in the past ten years.
Next year’s meeting will fall on Friday, April 4
The AFL has previously confirmed the Cats will have Thursday night meetings with Brisbane, Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs in Opening Round (Gabba – March 6), Gather Round (Round 5, Adelaide Oval – April 10), and Round 11 (GMHBA Stadium May 8), respectively.
News Corp is reporting Geelong will meet Fremantle in Round 1 at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday, March 15, in the new 1:20pm timeslot.
It is also expected Essendon will make just its third appearance at the venue since 1993.
The entire fixture, released later today, is also expected to confirm the traditional Easter Monday meeting with Hawthorn in Round 6 on Monday, April 21.
