Geelong fans will get an early chance to see their heroes in action in 2025, with the Cats to host Essendon in a Community Series clash at GMHBA Stadium.
K rock Football understands it will be scheduled for Tuesday, February 25 at 7:10pm when the AFL releases the fixture later today – the second consecutive year the Cats and the Bombers have done battle in Geelong in the pre-season.
The clubs are no strangers to each other in the build-up to the home-and-away season, with six meetings in the past eight years, with many falling under the Country Game banner.
The match is nine days before the Cats’ Opening Round meeting with reigning premier Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Thursday, March 6.
It will be the first of two trips down the highway for Essendon in 2025, with the Bombers scheduled for a Round 22 meeting at GMHBA Stadium.
