Jack Martin’s move to Geelong is now official following the opening of the AFL’s delisted free agency window.

The injury-impacted 29-year-old arrives at GMHBA Stadium after 151 games in 11 seasons with the Gold Coast and Carlton.

Martin requested to be delisted by the Blues after just three AFL appearances in 2024 before nominating the Cats as his preferred destination.

“We are really excited about the prospect of bringing Jack into our football club; he is an experienced player and a quality person,” Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said.

“He has already settled into Geelong with his young family and we look forward to welcoming him into our football program.”

Martin joined the Suns with the first pick as a 17-year-old in the 2012 Mini Draft but was ineligible to play until 2014.

At the Gold Coast, he played 97 games and kicked 81 goals, with 24 goals in 2017 his best return in a season.

Martin arrived at Carlton as a pre-season draft pick ahead of the 2020 season but managed only 54 games for 52 goals during his five seasons with the Blues.
