Forward Shaun Mannagh isn’t ruling himself out of Geelong’s Opening Round clash with the Brisbane Lions despite a pre-season hampered by a stress fracture in his navicular.
Speaking to krockfootball.live during yesterday’s (Monday’s) match simulation hitout against Hawthorn, the 27-year-old said he hopes to return to full training next week.
“I’m still pretty confident I can get there (Opening Round),” Mannagh said.
“(I’ll) just leave it up to the medical team and the high-performance team.
“If I’m ticking the boxes, then I’m giving myself every chance.”
