The 19-year-old, who signed a two-year deal when drafted with pick no.20 in the 2020 National Draft, has played 21 since debuting in last year’s Easter Monday clash with Hawthorn.

“I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but it’s (a new deal) close,” Holmes told K rock Football following the Cats’ 112-point shellacking of North Melbourne.
