Geelong midfielder Darcy Moloney has been granted her wish to be traded to AFLW rivals Sydney.
The 22-year-old Colac Imperials product departs the Cats after 46 games since being drafted ahead of the 2021 season from the Geelong Falcons.
Geelong has received pick 22 in exchange.
“Darcy is a quality person who has been a valuable member of our football program, and we wish her all the best at the Swans,” assistant football boss Brett Johnson said.
“We acknowledged Darcy’s request for a fresh start in Sydney, and we have strengthened our draft hand as a result.”
Moloney is the fifth confirmed departure from Geelong’s 2024 list, following the delisting of Abbey McDonald, Brooke Plummer and Lilly Pearce, with Irish talent Anna-Rose Kennedy choosing not to return next year.
The Cats hold four selections – 9, 22, 27 and 45 – in the draft to be held on Monday, December 16.
