Patrick Dangerfield will continue as Geelong captain for a third season in 2025 despite indicating earlier this month that he was undecided if he would maintain the role.
The 34-year-old (he turns 35 in March) will again head a streamlined leadership group, with star defender Tom Stewart remaining as vice-captain.
“We are grateful to have strong and influential leaders in Pat and Tom, who will continue to lead our football program and club into 2025,” Cats football boss Andrew Mackie said.
“They are not only influential leaders on the field, but they are key drivers of high performance and Geelong’s contribution to the community.
“Our entire playing group, football program and broader staff are fully behind them as they lead our AFL team in 2025.”
