GEELONG has welcomed back four guns and rested three players for Saturday’s clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
After being a late withdrawal from last week’s win over St Kilda after experiencing calf tightness in the pre-game, Patrick Dangerfield has been named to take on the Suns.
Captain Joel Selwood and utility Mark Blicavs are back after being rested against the Saints, while Gary Rohan returns after a head knock suffered against the Western Bulldogs.
As flagged by coach Chris Scott on Wednesday, winger Isaac Smith will be rested. Also having a spell are half-back Mitch Duncan and Irishman Mark O’Connor.
Luke Dahlhaus, who was the late inclusion for Dangerfield, has been dropped.
He is among the emergencies along with O’Connor, Esava Ratugolea and Mitch Knevitt.
Gold Coast has included Sam Day and Sam Flanders as replacements for the injured Nick Holman and omitted Jeremy Sharp.
