Geelong midfielder Amy McDonald has created two pieces of history in tonight’s AFL Women’s best-and-fairest count.

The three-time club best-and-fairest has posted the best finish and most votes by a Cats player.

McDonald finished in a four-way tie for second on 16 votes, seven behind the winner, Richmond’s Monique Conti.

Teammate Georgie Prespakis polled 14 votes, one less than her previous club record of 15 polled in Season 7.

Prespakis and Nina Morrison missed selection in the final All-Australian team after being named in the 42-player squad earlier this month.

Leading goalkicker Chloe Scheer missed out on consecutive AFLW Mark of the Year awards after a courageous effort from Brisbane Lion Courtney Hodder got the nod from judges.
