The Tigers are back for a second straight season, having not played here before this year since 2017.

Matches at GMHBA Stadium are an even split between Victorian and non-Victorian clubs.

Melbourne, the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda will join Essendon and Richmond on the local slate of games.

Joining the Dockers in Geelong are Port Adelaide, Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast, and the GWS Giants, who have won their past four meetings at GMHBA Stadium dating back to 2019.

The clash with the Giants will be the first Sunday 3:20pm match the Cats have appeared in at home since 2015.

“We are thrilled with the opportunities our 2025 AFL Fixture presents from a football, fan, and commercial perspective, and we can’t wait to kick-off the season in just 112 days’ time,” Chief Strategy and Growth Officer Marcus King said.

“From a football point of view, we are delighted to have a strong mix of teams both travelling down to Geelong and (in) our blockbuster fixtures up in Melbourne and interstate.

“We have a great spread and opponent mix throughout the season.

“A big focus as a Club was to play 10 home games at GMHBA Stadium in 2025, and to secure this is an amazing result – it will be the first time since 1996 that this has happened.

“Each Geelong match drives a direct economic impact to the Geelong region of approximately $5-7 million per game played, so it is a really significant outcome to both the Club and the region to have the extra game at GMHBA Stadium in 2025.”
