Mark Blicavs has seen a handful of teammates put pen to paper on new contracts recently, but the Geelong veteran is comfortable sitting back and waiting his turn.
The premiership utility, who turns 34 on Friday, is out-of-contract at the end of this season, when, barring injury, his games tally is likely to sit in the 290s.
“I really haven’t thought about it,” Blicavs said “I’m pumped that they’re all signing.
“I definitely wouldn’t be going anywhere; I love this club.
“I’ll chat with my dad (Andris) as a manager and ‘Mack’ (Geelong football boss Andrew Mackie).
“But right now, I’m just really focused on playing footy… I’m very comfortable where I am right now.”

Blicavs has played primarily in defence in the opening two rounds of the season but has also provided support for developing ruck Sam De Koning and snuck forward to kick a goal in the loss to St Kilda.
As has been his mantra for most of his 272-game career, the two-time Carji Greeves medalist is happy to play whatever role coach Chris Scott requires.
“I’m training a lot with the back six; I’ve really enjoyed that stability,” Blicavs said
“Working with Jack (Henry) and ‘Kola’ (Jake Kolodjashnij). Sully’s (Connor O’Sullivan) been great this pre-season as well. So I’m really enjoying that.
“And I understand part of that role is to help in the ruck. My body’s feeling really good, and I’m really enjoying starting as the back six and then getting up the ground a bit.
“It’s given me a bit of freedom. So, I’m enjoying the role at the moment. It’s good fun.”

Blicavs is enjoying watching Sam De Koning’s development as a ruck after holding a key defensive post for much of the early part of his career.
“Yeah, I think he’s been great,” Blicavs said.
“I’ve been working closely with Sam, and I think he’s really starting to see where his strengths lie through that centre bounce.
“He had a big growth spurt when he was young, but he played a lot as a midfielder. So, he likes being around the ball. He likes getting the touches and getting it forward.
“But he’s also a gun defender. So we’re trying to use his role to the best strength we can.
“I think he’s had a great start to the season.”
